GENERAL SUMMARY
MAC Wholesale is an industry leading distributor of closeouts and excess inventory. As the Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing business development for the MAC Wholesale Purchasing Team. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for lead generation, relationship building, and managing CRM Software, HubSpot. This candidate will work with both new vendors and existing vendors to develop purchasing relationships for their closeouts and excess inventory. The Business Development Specialist will also manage and execute marketing initiatives approved by the VP of Purchasing and supported by the Purchasing Team.
- Lead Generation
- Researches consumer product manufacturers to identify purchasing opportunities for the purchasing team
- Regularly conducts store visits to identify new brands for purchasing and to keep a pulse on the market for both our purchasing opportunities and customers
- Contacts manufacturers, wholesalers, and inventory owners to seek correct buying contact(s) and generate purchasing opportunities. Utilizes technology to assist with lead generation and data gathering
- Manages Quarterly Outreach Emails to new vendors
- Manages Execution of New Vendor Marketing Programs (Mailings, Social Media, etc)
- Schedules Introductory Calls with New Vendors & makes Introductions between Vendors & Purchasing Team
- Assists buyers with contact identification when new contacts are required for existing vendors
- Manages Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for New Business accounts
- Assists with managing and organizing contacts and companies within the software
- Assists with managing and organizing contacts and companies within the software
- Attends industry tradeshows individually, with buyers, and/or VP of Purchasing & manages tradeshow follow-up
- The typical travel requirement for this position is on average once every other month aligning with trade show dates and company events
- Manages and completes pre-work for all scheduled trade shows

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with CRM systems preferred
• Experience with Excel Required (V-Lookup, Formatting, etc.)
• Experience and active with LinkedIn Required
